Venezuelans To Enjoy KFC Through Dash Payments

Venezuelans will soon be able to use Dash to pay for buying the popular fried chicken and other delicious food in KFC. The first KFC that will start accepting Dash is the one situated in the Chacao Municipality in Caracas. It will then spread to the remaining 24 locations of KFC.

It has not been as easy for Dash to get KFC on board, with three months of negotiations by Alejandro Echeverría, the co-founder of Dash Help, Dash Merchant Venezuela and Dash Text. Echeverría has proved to be a dedicated member of the DASH community being laser-focused on Dash adoption.

KFC, which is known as Kentucky Fried Chicken is one of the most popular American fast food restaurant chains. It is known for it’s fried chicken. With almost 20,000 locations globally in 123 countries, Dash being adopted by them in Venezuela is helpful for both Cryptocurrency and Dash’s adoption.

The announcement was tweeted by Mark Mason, the Director of media of Dash News.

KFC is not the first restaurant chain in Venezuela to accept Dash. Dash has paved its way into Subway and Papa John’s Pizza. The Cryptocurrency has even been adopted as a payment option in Traki which is Venezuela’s largest department store.

KFC is a subsidiary of the Yum! Brands which is a restaurant company that owns popular food chains such as Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Thus with KFC accepting Dash, soon the other food brands from Yum! Brands could adopt Dash or other Cryptocurrencies.

Dash is an open source Cryptocurrency which is a form of decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) which is run by a subset of users called masternodes. It is known for its fast transactions that are untraceable. At the time of writing, Dash is in the green at the price of $65.89 with a market cap of $559,599,889 and ranked at 16th position.
